Landlord’s Self-Help Centre commissioned a study to assess the size and scope of the Secondary Rental Market in Ontario. The report estimates the number and type of rental units which comprise the secondary rental market on a provincial and regional basis as of 2016 and uses a demographic driven model to estimate and project the size of the secondary rental market that combines age-specific population projections with assumptions about household formation, tenure, dwelling type and condominium status decisions as people age.
